The Logitech C615 is a USB webcam that was specifically designed for Macs.
The Logitech C920 webcam is an updated version of the C900 series that lacks "Mac branding".
With the Real-Time Audio-Video feature, if you have multiple webcams or microphones on your client system, only one webcam and one microphone can be used on your remote desktop.
You specify which webcam and microphone are preferred at the command line by using the Mac defaults system.
However, making adjustments to a wide-range of settings (brightness, sharpness, zoom, etc.) on the C920 is a breeze with the app Webcam Settings, available at the Mac App Store.
Webcam Settings is a menu bar item that can be used to quickly change between several pre-sets; for example, brightly light room or evening artificial lights.

The user ID appears after the string User Id= in the log file.
I compared the video with that of my wife’s regular Mac Book Pro and noticed that the video quality was better. It works with all webcam-enabled apps (such as Skype and Google Hangouts), supports your i Phone’s rear- and front-facing cameras, and encrypts all the video it records. In addition to the app, you’ll also need to download the drivers directly from the developer’s website.Setting up the connection is fully automated; you don’t need to do anything. It introduces autofocus and an on/off toggle for the flashlight.I love Face Time and use it a lot, especially on my i OS devices. When I’m in front of my Mac Book Pro, however, I don’t switch to my i Phone or i Pad to make or answer Face Time calls. I guess I never paid too much attention to the video quality, but a couple of weeks ago I noticed that the picture (or video I should say) of the Face Time camera built into my Mac Book Pro with Retina Display sucks, to be blunt. For example, the user ID of the internal face time camera is Face Time HD Camera (Built-in) and the user ID of the internal microphone is Built-in Microphone.
